Caddo Parish Jail Roster
The official current custody source is the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Currently Housed Inmates page for Caddo Correctional Center. The roster is a free public HTML listing. Research on June 16, 2026 found no login requirement. The list showed current rows with last name, first name, middle name, booked date, age, and sex. A row can open a preview panel that may show a booking photo, location, date of birth, race, sex, height, weight, a print option, booking history, charge descriptions, and bond amounts.
The sheriff roster should be read as a current-custody tool. The official page did not publish a fixed refresh rate, and no released-inmate retention period was found. Same-day entries were visible during research, but a person may not appear the instant an arrest occurs. If a name is not listed, the next channel depends on the arresting agency and custody type. Shreveport city arrests may begin with the City Jail booking reports and Jail Desk. Sentenced state custody moves to Louisiana DPS&C and LAVNS. Federal and immigration custody use BOP, U.S. Marshals, or ICE systems.
The manifest screenshot from the sheriff roster shows the public roster's last-name filter in use at the Caddo current inmate listing.
The image matches the research finding that the sheriff roster is filter driven, not a single search box with full-text results.
Use Caddo Parish Inmate Records
Start with the least ambiguous facts: full name, likely arrest date, arresting agency, and whether the case began in Shreveport or elsewhere in Caddo Parish. The roster can be browsed by booking date and filtered by last-name initial or sex. A row preview is the key step because the list view alone does not show all detail. Charge and bond information may require opening the booking history or expanding the charge panel.
- Open the sheriff current inmate page and review the default list, which research found sorted by the most recent booking date.
- Use the last-name initial filter when the surname is known. It narrows the list without requiring an exact full-name match.
- Use the sex filter only as a secondary limit. It is not enough to identify a person by itself.
- Click the search icon or roster row to open the public preview panel.
- Review the visible booking profile, then use booking history and charge expansion when available.
- If the person is missing, check the city jail, LAVNS, BOP, ICE, or the sheriff records request channel.
Caddo Parish Roster Filters
Caddo Parish inmate records are not searched through a single required name field. The sheriff page uses link filters, sort controls, and clickable roster rows. That structure matters when a name has a spelling variation. It also means a person can be found by browsing a date range or letter group when the exact spelling is uncertain.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last Name | A-Z link filter | No | Filters by initial with ALL and A through Z options using the roster URL parameter. |
| Sex | Link filter | No | Male and Female filters can narrow a large result set. |
| Sort | Link control | No | Sorts by name, age, or booking date in either direction. |
| Booking row preview | Clickable row | No | Opens the profile panel for fields not shown in the table row. |
| Booking history | Modal button | No | Shows booking number, booking date/time, and release date/time when present. |
| Charge detail | Expandable row | No | Shows sequence number, charge description, print icon, and bond amount. |
Caddo Parish Inmate Profile Fields
The public roster field set is useful, but it has limits. It is not a full police report, court docket, sentencing record, or statewide criminal-history report. Research found no Social Security number, street address, judge, warrant number, arrest narrative, or court case number in the inspected profile. Some data is visible only after a row is opened. A sample record inspected on June 16, 2026 showed the kind of fields published, but individual details should be treated only as examples of field structure.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name fields | Last, first, and middle name in the list view and preview header. |
| Booked | The date booked into Caddo Correctional Center, shown in year/month/day format. |
| Booking ID | An internal booking number in a year-number style such as YYYY-########. |
| Age and sex | Basic list-view identifiers used to distinguish similar names. |
| DOB, race, height, weight | Additional demographic fields inside the preview panel. |
| Location | City, state, and ZIP-style location in preview, not a guaranteed housing pod. |
| Booking photo | A public photo when the sheriff system publishes one under applicable law. |
| Booking history | Prior or current booking entries with booking and release date/time when present. |
| Charges and bond | Charge descriptions, sequence numbers, and per-charge bond amount when expanded. |
Caddo Parish Booking Process
Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure article 228 requires an arrested person to be brought promptly to the nearest jail or police station and booked. Booking creates the intake record that supports the public booking summary. In Caddo Parish, the intake path can involve the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police, or another local agency. A city arrest may first appear through Shreveport City Jail reports, while parish custody and many transfers are checked through Caddo Correctional Center.
A booking entry may include a name, booking number, booked date, age, sex, demographic fields, and a booking photo if legally publishable. Charges can change after prosecutors review the arrest. Bond may also change after first appearance or later court action. A roster charge is a booking or custody record, while the court case becomes the charge record that follows the arrest through prosecution.
- Booking
- The intake record created after arrest.
- First appearance
- An early court event where charges and release conditions may be addressed.
- Detainer
- A hold or request from another agency that may prevent release.
- Disposition
- The final court outcome on a charge.
Caddo Parish Custody Channels
The best search path depends on where the person is held. Caddo Correctional Center is the main parish jail at 1101 Forum Drive in Shreveport, with direct phone (318) 677-5254 and sheriff main line (318) 675-2170. Shreveport City Jail is a municipal booking and bonding facility at 755 Hope Street, with Jail Desk phone (318) 673-7130. The city site posts daily booking reports, and the current city page says visitation is temporarily suspended during renovation.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Current parish jail custody | Caddo sheriff current inmates page | CCC roster, booking preview, charges, bond, and photo if shown. |
| Shreveport city booking | City Jail page or Jail Desk | Fresh city arrests, bonding at 755 Hope Street, and daily city booking reports. |
| Sentenced Louisiana custody | LAVNS / Louisiana DPS&C | People transferred after sentencing, with 24-hour updates and phone locator support. |
| Federal sentence | BOP inmate locator | Federal inmates from 1982 to present after transfer to federal custody. |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator System | Search by A-number and country or by name, country of birth, and date of birth. |
| Victim notification | VINELink Louisiana | Custody status and notifications through LAVNS/VINE. |
Note: A person can have local bond and still remain held because of a warrant, probation hold, federal matter, or ICE detainer.
Caddo Parish Records Requests
When the roster does not answer the question, use the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office public-records form or PDF template. The web form asks for contact details, a custodian selection, and a description of the record sought. The custodian dropdown includes General Request, Criminal Records, Internal Affairs, and Personnel. A request for a booking record should give the person's name, approximate booking date, arresting agency if known, and the specific item requested.
The sheriff PDF cites the Louisiana Public Records Act and the three-business-day response timing when access will take longer. Louisiana law makes booking summaries public, but pending investigative or prosecution records can be withheld under La. R.S. 44:3. Booking photos also have special limits under Act 494 of 2022. A well-framed records request asks for releasable booking information and does not assume every photo, narrative, or report can be released while a case is active.
The manifest screenshot of the Caddo sheriff public-records request form shows the custodian dropdown and request-detail field used for this fallback channel.
That form is the practical route for a booking summary, a releasable photo, or older jail record information that is not still visible on the current roster.
Caddo Parish Jail Facilities
Caddo Parish detention records are tied to three local facilities. Caddo Correctional Center is the primary parish jail. The Caddo Transitional Work Program is a separate work-release facility nearby. Shreveport City Jail is the municipal booking and bonding point for city arrests. Each facility has its own role, so the right search channel depends on custody stage.

Caddo Parish Jail Contact Rules
Visitation, mail, phone, and commissary rules should be confirmed before travel or payment because official pages show that jail access can change during emergencies, weather interruptions, renovation, lockdown, or facility restrictions. The sheriff detention navigation includes visitation rules, visitation schedule, inmate mail, inmate telephone, and commissary/tablet information. Static research did not locate a complete current CCC visitation schedule, so the safest public instruction is to verify with the sheriff schedule or call Caddo Correctional Center before arriving.
| Service | Caddo Parish Detail |
|---|---|
| CCC visitation | Schedule page exists in sheriff detention navigation; current detailed hours were not visible in static research. |
| CCC mail | Inmate Name, SO#; PO Box 16120; Jonesboro, AR 72401. |
| CCC funds | CorrectPay lists lobby kiosk, website, and toll-free phone 855-836-3364 for deposits. |
| Commissary cutoff | Sheriff excerpt says funds must be added by 7:30 a.m. the day before commissary. |
| Shreveport visitation | Current city page says visitation is temporarily suspended while the jail is under renovation. |
| State prison phone and money | DPS&C uses Securus for calls and JPay for money and secure electronic communication. |
Note: Confirm custody status with the jail before sending funds, mailing documents, or planning any visit.
Caddo Parish Sheriff App
The Caddo Parish Sheriff App is an additional sheriff access channel, not a substitute for emergency calls or official records requests. The sheriff app page says it was updated for 2024, is free, and serves Caddo Parish residents. App screenshots are labeled Home, News, Caddo 9-1-1, Inmates, Locations, and Calendar. The official page says the app connects users to CPSO alerts, messages, services, and support, and that it should not be used in an emergency.
The app page does not prove an app-only roster or a fuller inmate database than the sheriff website. Treat it as a convenient route to sheriff services and possible inmate function access. For public custody confirmation, the roster, facility phone lines, records request form, LAVNS, BOP, and ICE remain the documented lookup chain.
