Caddo Correctional Center Capacity and Population

Caddo sources report two capacity figures that should be read together. A sheriff state-review release and a command-staff release describe CCC as having 1,500 beds or 1,500 operational capacity. The Caddo Parish Criminal Justice Task Force report adds that the original constructed or design capacity was 1,070 and that the operational capacity was expanded to 1,500 after Hurricane Katrina without added space. For searchers, that distinction explains why different official documents can quote different capacity numbers without necessarily contradicting each other.

The November 2023 task force report gives the strongest population trend data. It says CCC's 2022 average daily population was 1,406, which was 31 percent over the original design capacity. The report also found admissions fell 40 percent from 2012 to 2022 while the pretrial population grew 42 percent, making length of stay and case processing a central part of Caddo's jail-population story. It shows current rows with last name, first name, middle name, booked date, age, and sex. Opening a row can show a booking preview with a photo when published, location, date of birth, race, height, weight, booking history, charges, and bond amounts when those details are available.

2. Use the last-name A-Z filter, sex filter, or sort controls to narrow the current roster.
3. Click the row or preview/search icon and confirm that the person is listed in current CCC custody.
4. Review booking history, charge detail, bond amount, and release fields when the roster exposes them.

If the person is not listed, do not assume release. A Shreveport arrest may still be on the City Jail booking reports or at the Jail Desk, a sentenced Louisiana prisoner may have moved to LAVNS/DPS&C, and a federal or immigration matter may belong to BOP, U.S. Marshals, or ICE systems. The sheriff's own detention navigation has used the same street address with a 71137 ZIP, so the ZIP code is a source discrepancy rather than a reason to invent a different address. Call before mailing, visiting, or relying on a driving destination if the ZIP matters for a specific purpose.

Visiting Someone at Caddo Correctional Center

The sheriff detention menu links separate visitation rules and a visitation schedule, but the captured static output did not expose a complete current schedule. Official examples also show that visitation can change. A March 2020 release suspended on-site visitation for public-health reasons, and a January 2026 weather notice said on-site video visitation could close during weather interruptions while remote visits remained available.
